**Your new company**

Our client is a privately owned company located in Southport, looking for an Accounts Payable/Payroll officer to join the head office team. As a group, they have 130+ employees with 20 of those operating from this location. The company has been operating for more than 15 years and is well respected in the education and childcare industries.

**Your new role**

The role of the Accounts Payable/Payroll Officer, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for accounts payable, bank and credit card reconciliation, payroll, and also supporting with general administration when needed. You will be an essential part of a dedicated finance team, working to ensure a great experience for clients. This is a fast-paced team environment that drives for success in every aspect of the business.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience operating as an Accounts Payable/Payroll officer within a fast-paced, busy team. You will need to have excellent relationship-building skills, be motivated, and great technical ability in the Accounts and Payroll function. Additionally, you will have the ability to problem-solve, meet tight deadlines, work independently or as part of a team and demonstrated advanced skills in accounting software. Key skills will include:

- MYOB/Xero/Finance Software experience
- Experience with understanding and completing Bank Reconciliations
- High level communication and customer service skills
- Extensive experience in payroll processing
- Understanding of Modern Awards to ensure compliance
- Proficient skills working with Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience data entry, processing and reconciliation of Accounts Payable
- Credit card reconciliations
- The ability to adapt and work within a paperless/technology-driven environment
- More than 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- General Administration Support
