**About the role**
We are currently seeking a Production Administrator to join our company for a casual role with our company.
Monday - Friday, no weekend work is required. This role is not suitable for those seeking school hours.
You will be responsible for providing effective administrative support to the production team. To succeed in this role, you must have strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritise, multitask, be reliable, dependable and proactive to achieve the best possible outcomes.
We are seeking an experienced administrator **OR** a knowledgeable tradesperson looking to transition into office work.
**Key responsibilities**
- First point of contact for clients - must have exceptional customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
- Printing of all required production documentation
- Purchase ordering to ensure smooth factory operation (using MYOB or Xero)
- Setting up projects in our system - data entry
- Ensure timely entry of information into various databases
- Assisting management with reporting
- Coordinating production and delivery schedules
- Ensuring office operations run smoothly
- Preparing quotes and adhoc documentation for clients
- General office administration duties / reception duties
- Archive management
- Provide information to bookkeepers when requested
- Understanding of bookkeeping (invoicing, purchase ordering) an advantage but not essential
- Prior experience using MYOB and/or Xero an advantage but not essential
**About you**
- Previous experience working in an office environment advantageous
- Computer use (Microsoft Office suite - Outlook, Word and Excel, MYOB, Xero) desirable
- High attention to detail
- Positive demeanour and can-do attitude
- Excellent communication and telephone skills
- Excellent organisational skills, interpersonal skills and a clear communicator
- Flexible to undertake a variety of different tasks
- Initiative and a willingness to learn
- Carefully follow instructions
- Previous experience in the trade/ manufacturing industry highly desirable
- Your ability to multi-task, prioritise tasks and work independently within a small team environment is essential
- Previous office management experience or operations assistant desirable
a) Completion of Year 12 Higher School Certificate (HSC)
b) Certificate IV, Diploma, Bachelor or Masters in Business / Business Administration
**and/or**
c) Any trade qualification (Certificate III )
- This role requires some time spent in the factory, therefore ability to comply with OH&S requirements and lifting of materials may be required.
