The Nine Network is a leading television network throughout Australia with operations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide as well as in regional Northern New South Wales.

Our content includes a combination of strong locally produced programs and exclusive international content arrangements including news, current affairs, sporting events, entertainment and lifestyle programs.

The Network Control department primarily assists the studios and other departments with coordination and technical supervision of television and related data signal transmissions.

In this role, you will report to the Terchnical Operations Manager and your daily responsibilities will include:

- Service the Network Control and signal needs of internal and external productions, studios and outside broadcasts
- Support large scale events and breaking news
- Assist in the smooth day to day operation of the Network Control Room
- Work equipment requiring complex routing and signal flow operations
- Setup and operate various broadcast equipment
- Effectively run the network control room and completion of all bookings
- Assist in maintaining the continuity and quality of Nines transmission

This role works in a rotational shift-based team environment.

- Knowledge of television transmission principles, formats and workflows
- Knowledge of precision instruments to measure vision and audio parameters
- Ability to work under the pressure of a “live”, dynamically changing environment.
- Computer literacy
- Technical adaptability
- Knowledge of production procedures, terminology, and equipment operation
