**What You Will Be Doing**

The Environmental Service Assistant is an effective member of the Support Services Team who will work with other staff as required to undertake a range of cleaning duties which supports the well-being of patients, staff and others. This position is likely to have contact with patients, staff and visitors to the hospital and will demonstrate effective inter-personnel skills and an ability to work cooperatively and flexibly so as to not disrupt the operation of the work unit.

We currently have a number of casual positions available across a range of shifts Monday to Friday

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have
- A proven track record cleaning in a health environment
- A demonstrated ability to manage priorities and work with mínimal supervision.
- The ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness in line with Infection Control Guidelines and relevant standards
- Experience in floor care including the use of floor scrubbing/polishing equipment / stripping and sealing vinyl floors

**Additional Requirements**

This role must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and meet the requirements of the Peninsula Health immunisation policy.

Desirable: Do you have a Certificate 111 in Support Services (Cleaning/Environmental)?

Essential: Do you have an understanding of the different waste streams generated within a health environment, and an ability meet the physical demands of soiled waste collection and bin exchange programs?

Essential: Can you demonstrate the ability to manage priorities and work with mínimal supervision?

Essential: Do you have the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness in line with Infection Control Guidelines and relevant standards?

Desirable: Do you have experience in floor care including the use of floor polisher/scrubbers and appropriately trained in the stripping and sealing of vinyl floors?
