**Job description**

Caregiver needed for domestic care, personal care, and social support.

**Salary**: $38 - $42 per hour

Hours: 10-35 hours per week

**Duties and responsibilities**:
**Aged Support**:

- Domestic assistance (cleaning, meal preparation, etc.)
- Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Transportation for appointments and errands
- Support with daily activities to foster independence and well-being
- Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with clients and their families
- Empower clients to live independently and with dignity
- Effectively manage challenging situations in line with Perl Home Care’s policies
- Collaborate with the care team to support clients with complex needs

**Office Assistance**:
Assist the Care Coordinator with various administrative tasks, including:

- Managing schedules and appointments
- Supporting rostering and ensuring smooth office operations
- Record-keeping and data entry as required
- Performing additional tasks as directed by the Care Coordinator

**Knowledge / experience/ attributes**:

- Motivation and commitment to caring for the elderly and/or people with disability who may have challenging behaviour
- A positive and enthusiastic approach to managing challenging situations
- Certificate III in Aged Care / Certificate IV in Home and Community Care or equivalent
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Evidence of good team building and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge or skills
- Current driver’s license, good driving record
- A reliable car with comprehensive car insurance
- Smart Phone with internet access
- National Police Clearance
- Flu vaccination
- Strategic thinking with the ability to implement solutions for client care
- Commitment to delivering high-quality care that meets Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission standards

**Requirements**:

- Experience in aged care or a similar support role is desirable
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Availability to work within the hours of 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday
- Dedication to Perl Home Care’s values and policies

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 35 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
