**The Role**

Joint Capabilities Group has an opportunity for you to utilise your skills to contribute to radiation safety within Joint Logistics Command. As the Radiation Safety Logistics Manager you’ll work with an innovative team to manage Defence’s inventory of controlled radiation sources and develop logistics policy, processes and procedures to continually improve the quality of data management and reporting.

This is a diverse role that provides opportunities for national travel to visit Defence bases across the country and regular interactions with the Commonwealth Regulator.

**About our Team**
The Directorate of Defence Radiation Safety and Assurance is a small team located within Logistics Assurance Branch. The team is responsible for radiation safety policy across the whole of Defence, but also has a direct responsibility for radiation safety management within Joint Logistics Command.

The team is motivated, and enjoys a high level of autonomy.

Experience working in either a regulatory or compliance framework, or an understanding of radiation safety or work health and safety management systems would be highly regarded, as would good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to analyse problems and develop effective solutions.

The position would suit a military logistics specialist that is keen to transfer their skills into a Defence civilian role or a civilian logistician wishing to work in a military logistics environment.
