The Willowview Centre, a service within the Aged and Disability branch, runs Social Support Groups under the Commonwealth Home Support Programs (CHSP). The Centre currently has an opportunity for a dynamic and energetic person to join our active living team in providing meaningful, stimulating, and innovative social and recreational activities for Willowview Centre group participants. The Active Living Leader provides leadership in program planning and on-the-day coordination of direct services. The key responsibilities include designing, planning, and implementing scheduled monthly program activities and the team coordination tasks with the group service on the day. They are a number of Active Living Leaders within the team across the week working on different and/or same day. The position requires experiences in leading a team of staff on the day in providing stimulating activities/programs, positive social engagements, and responsible for the safety and welfare of group participants attending the centre. - Demonstrated experience and skills to develop and implement a centre program that is stimulating, innovative, motivating, culturally relevant for the participants, and have a focus on maximising the strengths of people attending the program. - Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Social Support Group programs and the principle of wellness reablement, capacity building, social connections and participations. - Ability to work with and contribute to the team environment demonstrating strong leadership, communication and staff development skills. - Ability to identify, lead, and effectively respond to operational issues resulting in positive outcome. - Demonstrated understanding and experience in working with clients (and their carers) from diverse backgrounds.
