About the Position
Reporting to the Coordinator Economy, Place & Connected Communities, the Team Leader Place Making & Activation will lead and manage a team of Place Makers, and an Activity Centre Activation Officer to create stronger and connected communities.
Skills and Experience
Understanding of legal, socio-economic and political context
Sound knowledge of budgeting and accounting/financial procedures
Professional knowledge in project management, community development and social planning principles
Ability to carry out research in the community and utilise other sources of data to assess the needs of the community
Ability to deliver presentations and prepare written reports, tailoring styles to a variety of audiences including Councillors, Senior Management, service providers and the general community
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt to new systems to collate information and produce high quality analytical data/reports
**Requirements**:
Tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Social Sciences/Planning, Crime Prevention, Community Engagement, or another relevant discipline and/or extensive community development experience
Employee Working with Children’s Check (if applicable)
Current Victorian Driver Licence or equivalent
Satisfactory National Police Check; and
Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
