Melbourne, VIC, AU, 3000CYP Design & Construction Joint Venture (CYP D&C) has been contracted to design and build the tunnels and stations for the Metro Tunnel Project.

CYP D&C brings together three of Australia's leading construction partners John Holland, Lendlease, and Bouygues Construction.

The Metro Tunnel Project will untangle the City Loop by taking three of Melbourne’s busiest train lines through a new tunnel under the city. It will create a new end-to-end train line from Sunbury to Cranbourne/Pakenham, with twin nine-kilometre tunnels and five new underground stations at Arden (to be renamed North Melbourne), Parkville, Anzac, and two new CBD stations - State Library and Town Hall - which will directly connect to the City Loop.

We are looking for an experienced Field Testing Technicians for the Testing & Commissioning phase of the project in the following areas:

- Control Systems
- Electrical
- Mechanical
- Hydraulic & Fire

Responsibilities of the role include:

- Contribute to the overall delivery of the project, on or ahead of time with all client expectations met
- Contribute to deliver the works within budget, time, quality and regulatory standards, monitor and guide workflow, setting daily, weekly, and long-term project goals
- Represent the CYP T&C team during the execution of T&C Electrical, control systems, Mechanical or Hydraulic & Fire activities within the area.
- Review progress against plans, contractual arrangements, and delivery milestones to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates and take effective remedial action as required
- Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental management
- Contribute to new business, continuous improvement, and broader business activities
- Perform all duties in accordance with CYP policies, processes, systems, reporting and procedures

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in T&C and/or Building Services Design in major projects
- Experience in multidisciplinary projects
- Contemporary practices in design and construction methodology
- People and performance management including the performance of subcontractors
- Stakeholder management on site during T&C activities
- Quantitative and qualitative safety, environment, and quality risk assessment
- Analysis of and reporting on project performance, compliance, and defects and/or non-conformance
