Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Communication Advisor on a contract for 3 months.
**Position Overview**
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**_Communications Program contribution _**
- Coordinate communications relating to the ROBUST program of work, including the new website, deliver to agreed timelines, drive implementation, monitor and evaluate progress, and work to deliver a high level of service to the Bureau.
- Contribute to a positive team culture
- Ensure alignment and coordination of work across the Program to provide a seamless service to the Bureau, its customers, stakeholders and partners.
- Model professional excellence and expertise, demonstrating a commitment to communications and championing best practice.
**_ Technical delivery _**
- Coordinate engagement and communication activities to support the proactive and planned implementation of ROBUST projects, including the new Bureau website
- Contribute to the development and updating of the overall ROBUST communications approach.
- Develop communication products and collateral for internal and external audiences across a variety of channels that support the objectives and outcomes identified in the communication plan(s).
- Take a project approach to implementing the website strategy, ensuring clear performance indicators, deliverables and timeframes are documented, monitored, and met.
- Build a coalition of support for this project, supporting the organisation to transition to not only a new platform but a new way of working.
- Engage with stakeholders across the agency to seek their input and buy-in to the project, negotiating priorities and outcomes that meet the needs of the whole organisation.
- Ensure all project delivery aligns to the Agency’s Communications Plan and brand, activities are regularly monitored, and outcomes are reported.
- Work across the teams to identify and lead innovative solutions to highly complex issues, sensitivities and reputational risks for the Agency and the Australian Government
- Provide strategic and operational support to the broader team, developing communication strategies and implementing their respective action plans.

- Build and manage positive and productive internal and external relationships, anticipating and responding to stakeholder needs, and engaging stakeholders through change in support of the overall strategic direction.
- Adhere to policies, systems and processes that ensure the team can meet expectations of service, quality, and timeliness.
- Manage multiple priorities by being resilient, responsive and flexible. You must be able to think on your feet and able to work under limited direction.
- Comply with all Bureau work, health and safety policies and procedures, and taking reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of employees, contractors and visitors who may be affected by your conduct.

**Knowledge and Skills Required**:
**_Mandatory_**
- Professional level specialist, professional and/or technical expertise in strategic digital communications.
- A degree or diploma of an Australian educational institution, or a comparable overseas qualification, in marketing, communications or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic communications, particularly across large-scale projects.
**_ Desirable_**
- Experience working in a government organisation with an understanding of the Digital Service Standards and accessibility requirements would be advantageous.

**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Applicants be eligible to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance at a minimum and NV1 Security Clearance where required by the agency.
