**About the facility**

Barwon health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region. It is one of Victoria’s largest regional health service with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital. We serve over 500,000 people through the efforts of over 9,000 staff and more than 1200 volunteers. We provide care at all stages or life and circumstance through a wide range of services from emergency and acute to mental health, primary care, community services, aged care, and subacute/rehabilitation. Care is provided to the community through over 28 key locations throughout the region.

**About the role**

The Barwon Health Dietetics and Nutrition service provides services across the care continuum including Acute Care (University Hospital Geelong), Rehabilitation and Subacute Care (McKellar Centre), Aged care and community services.

Barwon Health is seeking a dedicated Grade 5 Dietetics and Nutrition services Manager to lead and develop our services. You will:

- Provide effective and efficient clinical services that are high quality, safe and evidence based to meet the needs of the clients.
- Understand, develop and implement a strategic approach to address issues which impact on professional practice and business operations.
- Lead and manage strategic, operational and workforce planning activities
- Monitor and manage the financial performance of the budget and adjust to meet Barwon Health operational requirements and annual targets.
- Facilitate and support staff undertaking research activities to build the research culture

As an Allied Health leader you will also be expected to:

- Represent Allied Health on relevant committees or forums
- Take portfolio responsibility for areas of work/service delivery
- At all times you will be expected to lead and be governed by the values of Barwon Health.
