We are seeking a talented individual to join our **Marsh Audit team**at **Marsh Australia**. This role will be based in **Melbourne office**. This is a **fulltime** and hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
You will be responsible for conducting audits to evaluate the effectiveness of an organization's internal control systems and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. They review financial records and documents, analyse financial data, and provide reports and recommendations to management. Staff Auditors also develop audit plans, perform tests, and recommend process improvements.
**We will count on you to**:
- Assist supervisors and senior auditors in planning audits, including scope creation, preliminary fact gathering, and reviewing materials.
- Conduct interviews with auditees, prepare notes for review, and develop a detailed understanding of the entity’s operations and industry standards.
- Evaluate procedures and documentation in internal financial and operating control systems, determining compliance with corporate policies and assessing risk.
- Analyze findings, formulate opinions, and develop recommendations, participating in presentations to local management.
- Complete electronic work papers for review and assist in drafting audit report findings, participating in closing meetings to explain findings and ratings.
**What you need to have**:
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- 2 to 3 years of audit experience (internal audit experience is a plus), with investments, superannuation, compliance, insurance broking, or consulting auditing experience considered advantageous.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Competence in PowerBI and Alteryx preferable.
- A willingness to travel (25% per annum), including international engagements.
- Active pursuit of professional designations (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) is desired, with additional language skills being a plus.
