**The Company**
Our client is a leading not-for-profit Queensland employer, who operates with a clear purpose and vision, which underpins every interaction their employees have with each other, their customers, and the community. Undeniably, our client delivers on some of Queensland’s most important services and continually operates through a large, diverse, and geographically dispersed workforce. They are now recruiting a Procurement Specialist to work across their Facilities category, on a full-time, permanent basis working out of their Brisbane CBD office.
**The Role**
Reporting into the Category Manager, this Procurement Specialist will develop and manage strategic sourcing exercises, to ensure goods and services related to the Facilities category are procured to maximum advantage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop and drive strategic sourcing projects and set project priorities.
- Lead negotiations of complex, high value, and long-term commercial agreements with suppliers and business partners.
- Conduct end-to-end tender processes including evaluation, market research, and analysis.
- Identifying and evaluating sourcing project viability, cost/benefits, and risk profile.
- Prepare fact base sourcing strategies, perform opportunity analysis, and making sourcing decisions to deliver significant cost savings and value improvement.
- In collaboration with Stakeholder Engagement Specialist, identify, develop, and manage strategic business relationships to gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements.
- Advise internal stakeholders on alignment of business priorities and sourcing strategy.
- Act as a team player and foster a safe work environment for self and others.
- Build effective working relationships for personal benefit and to deliver results.
**Skills & Experience**
- Previous experience delivering pre-award procurement activities such as strategic sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation through to contract award.
- Experience procuring goods and services within Facilities is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver results within a deadline driven environment.
- Proven track record of delivering savings in previous roles.
