Evolution Mining was founded in late 2011 and has operations across Australia and in Ontario, Canada.
We currently operate four operations across NSW, QLD, WA and Canada with a leadership team that continually focus on embedding a values driven culture aligned with our company vision to create a premier, global gold company.
Our Group operations are based in Liverpool St. (Sydney CBD) providing support across all sites in several key areas including Commercial, Finance and Accounting ensuring best practice in positioning Evolution as a leader in financial planning and analysis.
About the role
Due to an internal transfer, we are seeking to hire a Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis to lead the strategic, annual and intra year planning processes for the Group.
You will manage the Group planning cycle which spans life of mine plans (long term), annual budgets and business plans, and intra-year reforecasts as well as lead the consolidation of submissions from our Mining operations, preparing consolidated outcomes and insights for our leadership team and Board.
Key in the role is developing and maintaining relationships with our site and Group Commercial and Leadership teams, driving consistency, global best practice and a unification of reporting standard across activities including annual budget build up, modelling, providing insight and analysis of cash flows and commodity pricing including working with our Business Development team in acquisitions and divestments.
About you
Reporting to our General Manager - Commercial, to succeed in this role, you will have proven relevant experience in Financial Planning and Analysis ideally gained in a dynamic and challenging environment with demonstrated knowledge ideally within the resources sector (heavy engineering/construction considered) and relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce or relevant business discipline.

Strategic, creative and logical thinking, leading planning processes and financial modelling.
Proven ability to prepare, analyse, profile and present data, in a structured and logical format, confident in communicating, sensitive and complex financial information.
A proactive, structured approach to working that is also able to pivot to key immediate issues.
Understands capability requirements within the team and promotes a culture of coaching and development and is accountable for behaviours and outcomes.
Diligence, good communicator, ability to quickly build a rapport to form working relationships, lateral thought, and openness to new approaches.
Strong analytical and report writing skills with solid communication skills, both written and verbal and be able to manage your energy and priorities.
