**What will you be responsible for?**

As a Financial Hardship Specialist at Plenti, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers experiencing financial challenges. You will manage hardship requests with care, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to understanding and addressing individual circumstances. This role requires meaningful customer engagement, compliance with regulatory standards, and the ability to provide tailored solutions.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Identify appropriate solutions to assist customers in restoring their loans to good standing, documenting decisions and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records
- Liaise with external collections agencies, legal representatives, third parties and other stakeholders as required
- Assessing and responding to proposed debt agreements and bankruptcy petitions
- Compliance with all regulatory obligations including the NCCP Act, Privacy Act, ASIC Regulatory Guides and AML/KYC requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve hardship processes and enhance service quality
- Inbound and outbound customer contact will be required

**What type of background will make you successful?**
- 2+ years’ experience and demonstrated high performance in an unsecured or secured hardship role
- In depth knowledge of hardship regulations, including NCCP, ASIC/ACCC collections guidelines and Privacy Act
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and resolve complex situations with professionalism and empathy
- Proven ability to meet performance targets and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
- The ability to work autonomously, think on your feet and work in an evolving work environment dealing with complex enquiries
