**The Role**

As a Development Assessment Planner, you will be responsible for assessing a range of DA's. Duties will include:

- Liaising with various statutory bodies, state government departments and the community
- Manage a caseload of DA's ranging from multi-story developments to residential extensions
- Manage DA's related to new infrastructure projects in the LGA
- Mentor and/or train junior staff
- Other duties as required

This is an excellent opportunity for a DA Planner with minimum 12 months experience to join an established council looking to grow their planning team. This is a permanent opportunity, paying up to $135k + super depending on experience.

Our client is a growing council in Sydney's inner-west region, looking to expand their planning team due to growth within the LGA.
- Tertiary qualifications in town planning or related discipline
- Minimum 12 months experience in statutory planning
- Previous experience working in or with local council desirable
- Strong report writing skills
