**ABOUT THE BRANCH AND TEAM**
The Governance and Procurement Branch (GPB) within the ICTD consists of the Budget, Reporting and Procurement (where the CPT sits) (BRP), Office of the CIO (OCIO), the Chief Architect, and the IT Security Team.
The Budget, Reporting and Procurement team provide two functions:
- Under the Department’s central procurement model, the CPT conducts all ICT and labour hire procurements valued at $10,000 or more for the Department. The CPT works closely with the Procurement Quality Review Team in Corporate Services Division who support central registration and initial risk assessment of procurements valued at $10,000 or more and conduct periodic quality and compliance reviews of procurements undertaken by both the CPT and business areas.
- The Budget and Reporting team provide financial analysis, reporting and accounts payable functions for ICTD. The section is also supporting the transition to ICT Service costing and budgeting, in turn supporting ICT investment decisions.
The OCIO develops and provides input to the Department’s ICT Strategy and supports its implementation through IT Governance services, including support for ICT investment decisions.
The IT Security Team is responsible for ICT security operations, policy, advice, certification and compliance across the internal and external ICT systems provided by the Department.
The Chief Architect develops and provide input to Finance’s ICT Strategy and supports its implementation through the provision of ICT architecture services and advice.

**OPPORTUNITIES**
The Central Procurement Team (CPT) within the Information Communication and Technology Division (ICTD) is currently looking for Procurement Officers at the APS3 and APS4 levels to join our growing team.
The CPT is responsible for managing all components of ICT and labour hire procurement over $10,000 on behalf of the Department. The team is looking to grow and develop new talent who can bring demonstrated experience in completing procurement, problem solving and an aptitude to learn.
These positions provide the opportunity to join a high-performing and professional team that delivers services to the whole of the Department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging with stakeholders and clients, providing procurement, contracting and contract management advice
- Drafting procurement plans, approvals documentation, requests for quote, approaches to market, contracts and contracts variations
- Releasing and managing approaches to market on behalf of the clients within the Department
- Ensuring compliance with the CPRs and other relevant policies and procedures
- Managing competing priorities to ensure the department’s priorities are met
- Liaising with a diverse workforce and maintain good interpersonal and communication skills
- Assisting with procurement reporting obligations.
The team has a strong customer focus and works closely with business teams to ensure that procurement outcomes are streamlined and compliant with the PGPA framework.
We will provide on the job and external training where required, and a broad range of resources to support a seamless induction into the team.
