She Specialist

This role champions a proactive 'never walk by' safety culture by driving strategic HSE initiatives, building site leadership capability, and ensuring compliance with the Goodman Fielder Safety and Environmental Management Systems. As a key member of the site leadership team, you'll influence stakeholders, support risk reduction, and collaborate nationally to elevate HSE performance across the site and region.

**This role will**:
Key Responsibilities

- **Leadership & Engagement**: Partner with site leaders to embed a high-performance safety culture and lead HSE initiatives.
- **Compliance & Risk**: Ensure adherence to safety legislation, audit standards, and emergency preparedness protocols.
- **Systems & Training**: Implement the GF HSE Management System, deliver training, and build team capability in safety procedures.
- **Incident & Injury Management**: Support injury prevention, CARE processes, and return-to-work plans.
- **Hazard & Chemical Safety**: Lead risk assessments, manage hazardous substances, and maintain asbestos and risk registers.
- **Reporting & Auditing**: Monitor HSE performance, conduct inspections, and report on compliance and trends.
- **Environmental Impact**: Identify opportunities to reduce energy and water usage in line with environmental goals.

**You will bring**

- A relevant degree or diploma in OHS, Science, Health, or equivalent (or currently studying)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Minimum 5 years' safety experience, ideally within FMCG or multi-site environments
- Strong knowledge of Australian OH&S legislation and Workers Compensation frameworks
- Experience in OHS and/or environmental auditing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Solid planning, organizing, and project management capabilities
