Boeing is seeking a **Higher Education (HE) and Boeing Global Engagement (BGE) Community Relations Lead**. Reporting to the Government and Education Relations Senior Manager for Australia and New Zealand, and working closely with local leads, the HE/BGE Lead will drive development of policies and strategic engagement for university and higher education partnerships, creating STEM pipelines for graduates with universities and higher education partners not only in Australia but across the Asia Pacific region, and works with our community partners within Boeing’s core pillars for HE/BGE.

In this role you will have the opportunity to develop and lead Boeing’s integrated education relations, our STEM engagement, and community plans with Australian and relevant New Zealand education institutions, along with other not-for-profit organisations. A critical component is aligning Boeing Australia and New Zealand’s education and community strategy with each of the Boeing’s business units’ steering committee and STEM working groups, ensuring a holistic view of the content, sponsorships, activities & collaborations across each of functions to advance Boeing’s interests in Australia and New Zealand.

This hybrid role can be based out of Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne, with the need to travel to various sites and universities as necessary.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Lead the development and coordination of short and long-term education and community engagement strategies which advance Boeing Australia and New Zealand’s strategic interests.
- As the HE/BGE Focal for Australia and New Zealand, conduct ongoing community needs assessment, including coordinating local participation with local not-for-profit organisations to find impactful investments that drive sustainable improvement, linked to Boeing Australia’s objectives.
- Develop a dedicated Australia and New Zealand regional plan of local investment strategies guided by the Boeing Global Engagement focus areas and corresponding objectives.
- Maintain knowledge of Australia’s and New Zealand’s education landscape - from primary through tertiary levels.
- Lead and engage with Boeing Australia’s local education focals & early career focals, as well as various internal focus groups such as Women’s Leadership and Veterans Working Groups.
- Coordinate all education and community engagements/commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfil and deliver strategies which advance Boeing’s interests.
- Manage the BGE budget to lead studies/analysis, reports, risk assessments, and annual planning efforts to determine requirements, impacts and constraints, investments, and activities at an Australia and New Zealand country level.
- Coordinate to ensure Boeing Australia and New Zealand’s education and university relations strategies align with Boeing’s regional education relations plan and cycle of activities and is complementary to Boeing’s enterprise and education relations strategies.
- Acts as the primary contact for University Relations and STEM Steering Committees and key stakeholder requirements.

**What you might bring**:

- 7+ years’ experience in the field of early careers, university partnerships or something similar
- An ability to bridge conversational gaps across generations to inspire and motivate create talent
- Strategic thinking and prowess combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of working with NFPs and NGOs desired but not essential
- Bachelors degree or higher desirable but not essential.
