Ventia is on the lookout for a **Mechanical Tradesperson** to step into the role of **Equipment Specialist** at the iconic **Port Kembla Steelworks** - right by the sea and at the heart of Australia’s steel industry.

You’ll be joining a supportive, down-to-earth team in the **Coke Plant 2 - Coal & Coke Handling Asset Team**, where your technical know-how and safety-first mindset will help keep things running smoothly.

**What’s the Role All About?**

This isn’t just another toolbox gig. You’ll be:

- Offering expert advice on equipment longevity and performance
- Leading by example and guiding your teammates
- Monitoring asset health and reporting on condition
- Supporting daily operations and shutdown planning
- Getting hands-on with inspections, isolations, and root cause analysis
- Helping shape smarter maintenance strategies

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or ready to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you.

**What You’ll Bring to the Table**:

- Cert III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (a must)
- Diploma of Engineering (or keen to start one)
- Solid mechanical aptitude and a knack for problem-solving
- Experience in material handling and asset maintenance
- White Card, NSW Driver’s Licence, and computer literacy
- A proactive, team-first attitude and pride in your work
- Strong communication skills - face-to-face and written
