**About the role**:
Join Icon as an Indigenous Coordinator dedicated to fostering strong relationships with Indigenous communities and promoting cultural safety in the workplace. In this role, you will be committed to building capacity within our teams and supply chains, ensuring sustainable and positive outcomes for Indigenous employment and procurement.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead delivery of Indigenous employment and retention goals, fostering a supportive work environment
- Maintain and enhance relationships with employment partners, Indigenous organizations, and state governments to expand opportunities and ensure sustainable outcomes.
- Represent Icon on Indigenous panels, contribute to Indigenous enterprises, and lead engagement initiatives such as Community 2 Day and Indigenous Pathways to Construction.
- Assist with creating social media content, government reporting, and submission of EOIs and tenders focused on Indigenous participation.
- Maintain relationships throughout construction projects and engage with our subcontractors to build capacity and meet targets
- Supporting the business with Reconciliation Action Plan tasks on an ad-hoc basis.
**Requirements for the position**:
- 3+ years in Government, Social Procurement, Diversity and Inclusion, Stakeholder Management, or similar fields.
- Strong understanding of Victoria Social Procurement Framework and Indigenous employment practices.
- In-depth knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
- Proven experience in program development, partner relationship management, and negotiation.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work in diverse teams, and build strong business relationships.
