**About the opportunity**

This is a great opportunity to join Bupa on an 18-month Fixed Term Contract to join Bupa’s Cloud Modernisation program. You will be provided with flexible working / work from home arrangements. The preferred location for this role is Melbourne but you can be based in Sydney or Brisbane.

The purpose of the Cloud Modernisation FinOps Manager is to oversee and manage the cloud hosting cost of the program, including
- Ensuring cloud hosting cost is considered appropriately during significant architectural decisions
- Overseeing optimisation of cloud hosting cost while workloads are funded by the program.

**How can you help?**
- Ensure cost is considered appropriately during significant architectural decisions
- Lead analysis and modelling of the cost impact of significant architectural decisions to properly understand the cost implications
- Oversee cost optimisation while workloads are funded by the program
- Meet with Bupa Cloud FinOps Manager to check in on health metrics and take actions as required
- Ensure cost optimisation actions are being addressed by app teams

**What do you need?**
- 5+ years of professional experience in information technology operations
- Experience in general cost management practices: budgeting, cost forecasting and tracking
- Practical knowledge of cloud cost management capabilities and pricing models
- Experience in, or desire to build knowledge of cloud spend analysis to derive insights
- A strong analytical background, with an attention to detail
- A desire to be ‘hands on’ with cloud cost reports, PowerBI, Excel etc when needed
