**Your New Role**:
14 Month Fixed Term Contract - The Risk and Compliance Analyst will support the Head of Risk & Compliance -W&CM by assisting with and contributing to the oversight and management of the Group’s compliance and non-financial risk frameworks within the Wealth & Capital Markets platform to support delivery of the business strategy, providing risk & compliance oversight through the review of processes, assessment of controls, support in investigation of incidents, delivery of 2nd Line training, and provision of advice on risk management and operational resilience.

**Your New Role Looks Like This**:

- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of risk and compliance procedures to ensure they meet best practice risk management and regulatory requirements.
- Design and perform control testing to provide second line assurance that controls are designed appropriately and are operating effectively.
- Critically assess whether current controls in place provide sufficient risk mitigation, are appropriately designed and are operating effectively in the context of WCM’s business environment.
- Challenge and support the business to use risk and compliance processes to improve risk management and compliance and contribute to better decision making based on a better understanding of key risks.
- Contribute to initiatives to ensure that that increase business awareness of the risk management and compliance frameworks including the linkages between risk appetite, risk assessment, obligations, control assessment and incident management.
- Provide support with the administration of the enterprise risk management system.
- Support and educate the business in proactive risk management and continuous improvement
- Produce routine and ad-hoc management reporting for the team and management

**About You**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of three years post-graduate experience in a risk and compliance or related role
- A knowledge of the risk management and compliance / regulatory framework applicable to Australian Unity’s businesses
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks to tight deadlines and the flexibility to handle constantly changing priorities
