**About Cadia**
Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.

We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people, traditional custodians of the land surrounding Cadia, and proudly run an Indigenous Buddy Program to enrich the workplace experience our Indigenous employees. As a residential (drive-in / drive-out) mine, Cadia values community deeply, offering both financial and in-kind support to organizations across Blayney, Cabonne, and Orange townships. **Your Impact**:
Lead Newmont’s legal strategy for major commercial agreements, joint ventures, and large-scale projects. Your work will protect the company’s interests, drive efficiency, and enable strategic growth across global operations.

**As Part of Our Team, You Will**:

- Develop and implement Newmont’s legal commercial strategy.
- Own and manage the global legal contract system and negotiation playbooks.
- Advise senior leaders on legal risks and strategic options.
- Support major transactions, joint ventures, and sustainability projects.
- Lead negotiations with key partners and vendors.
- Oversee a high-performing legal commercial team.
- Collaborate across departments to align legal and business goals.
- Manage legal budgets and external counsel relationships.

**Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role**:

- JD or LLM from an accredited law school.
- Extensive experience in commercial law and global legal environments.
- Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements.
- Strong understanding of international legal frameworks and risk management.
- Advanced project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in the mining industry is a plus.
