**Description**:
The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Content Writer to join our Marketing and Communications team based from the Kew, Victoria office. This is a 12 month contract role, working full-time. The position reports to the Brand and Marketing Manager and works with a range of stakeholders across Guide Dogs Victoria.

The Content Writer is responsible for the ideation and development of many and varied copy formats: from short-form copy to long-form copy, scripts and social media. The Content Writer works independently and collaboratively to develop high-quality copy for a broad spectrum of formats - print, web and video.

**Responsibilities**:
Content creation

Conceive of, and develop as required, content that is on strategy and brand.
Write for print, website, socials, video, audio (eg, speaking notes).
Collaborate with the Marketing team as necessary to understand context and scope, and assist on other content projects where necessary.
Build on briefs with further research and interviews as required.
Review copy for publication to ensure conformity with accepted rules of grammar, style and format, coherence of story, and accuracy, legality, and probity of content.
Work with stakeholders and deliver on expectations.

Editorial oversight

Review and provide feedback to written work across the organisation. Directly edit work to improve quality of output, as required.
Understand the broader strategy and work with the team to deliver exceptional copy and social content in support of this.
Work with the Marketing & Communications team’s creatives to ensure written copy is brought to life and supported.

**Qualifications**:
Relevant university degree.

Knowledge, Skills & Previous Experience

Three-plus years experience in similar role.
Experience with content marketing highly desirable.
Proven track record of writing engaging content.
Experience writing in a broad mix of content formats - print, web, socials, newsletters, etc.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
High level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to establish strong links with key stakeholders as well as the ability to negotiate effectively and work through issues constructively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Good analytical and critical thinking.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Creative mindset.
