**Job Description**:
As part of the Office of the General Counsel, this role will work closely with the Associate Director, Workplace Relations and Senior Manager, Workplace Relations, as well as business partners and key stakeholders from the Human Resources team, Integrity team and across the University. The role will support employment relations functions including but not limited to:

- Conducting workplace investigations and/or providing support to independent external investigators to manage complex and sensitive employment related issues, including integrity matters, employee discipline and unsatisfactory performance processes.
- Providing sound advice and support to various stakeholders in relation to employment relations policy, industrial instruments, legislation and employment related matters.
- Supporting enterprise bargaining, managing complex discipline and performance cases and resolving complaints, disputes, and other employment related matters.
- Preparing for and representing the University at various external employment and industrial relations forums such as the Fair Work Commission and Queensland Human Rights Commission, as well as leading projects related to workplace relations initiatives.
- This is a continuing, full-time position based at the Griffith University Nathan campus. _Griffith University is a multi-campus university and therefore it is understood that this position will work across campuses as required._

Hew Level 8 Base Salary $100, 567 - $113, 136 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total package is in the range $117, 664 - $132, 369 per annum.

**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Proven track record in providing high-quality advice and support to staff and mangers in relation to industrial and employment relations matters.
- Tertiary qualifications in either employment relations, employment law, human resource management, or relevant extensive experience in employment and industrial relations.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with significant experience undertaking workplace investigations.
- Confidence in representing organisations in relation to employment matters at external tribunals.
- Excellent knowledge of employment-related legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders to design and develop effective and efficient methods of providing insights and advice.
