What we are looking for:
Over the past 12 months, AEIOU has navigated significant challenges through NDIS reforms and an organisational transformation. We are now entering an exciting rebuilding phase, with a diversified service offering and the appointment of a new CEO who will shape a fresh strategic direction for the organisation.
At the heart of our future is a workforce of skilled and passionate Speech Pathologists. We are committed to offering long-term career pathways, professional development, and the opportunity to be part of a close-knit, dedicated community making a meaningful difference every day.
Whether you're just starting out or bringing years of experience, AEIOU offers rewarding opportunities to grow your career in autism-specific early intervention across various locations in Queensland, with relocation support negotiable.
New Graduates: Start your career with structured support, supervision, and a collaborative, values-driven team.
Experienced Professionals: Expand your expertise through advanced training, mentoring opportunities, and leadership pathways like Senior Speech Pathologist, Program Coordinator or Clinical Services Manager. These pathways would be dependent on years of relevant professional experience.
We offer competitive, tiered pay and flexible roles that combine centre-based work, community engagement, and training contributions.
Our Services at AEIOU – More Ways to Support Children
At AEIOU, we believe every child deserves the right support to grow, learn, and thrive. That's why our Speech Pathologists do more than one type of therapy. We offer a suite of services that meet children where they are.
- Early Intervention Program
Our group-based early intervention program is the heart of AEIOU. Here, children learn key skills for communication, play, and daily life in a supportive and structured setting. By working together in groups, children build language, confidence, and friendships. - School Support (SDSS Program)
Through the Specialist Disability Support in Schools (SDSS) Program, funded by the Queensland Government, our Speech Pathologists partner with schools to help students succeed. We give teachers practical strategies, deliver therapy support in the classroom, and make sure students have the tools they need to participate in learning alongside their peers. - Therapy Services
Families can also access individual therapy sessions through our Therapy Services, which can be privately funded or covered by the NDIS. These sessions are tailored to each child's unique goals, whether that's developing speech, building vocabulary, or learning new ways to connect with others.
The essentials: Bachelor and/or Master's degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent) and membership or eligibility for CPSP  with Speech Pathology Australia.
