Maintenance Fitter required for large Ballarat business

**Your new company**

HAYS Recruitment are working with a local company looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join them at their Ballarat plant in a permanent position. The Maintenance Fitter is responsible for the provision and delivery of outstanding maintenance services to a large production team.

**Your new role**
- Planned and breakdown maintenance;
- Upgrade works to mechanical equipment;
- Compliance with all OHS policies and procedures in place, as well as participation in safety related projects and committees.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful you will be trade qualified and demonstrate experience in the following:

- Preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Hydraulics, pneumatics and automated machinery
- Safety and compliance systems
- Materials handling equipment
- Welding and minor steel fabrication
- Operation of lathes and milling machines
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and strong work ethic
- Demonstrate an ability to build & encourage strong working relations
- Be committed to our OHS policies and procedures.
- Be willing to complete a medical including drug and alcohol screening and a police check.
- Forklift Licence, Confined Spaces and Working at Heights (Advantageous)
