Perth based Heritage Specialist required on a permanent basis

**Your new company**

We are working with a tier 1 mining organisation who are currently looking for an experienced Heritage Specialist to join their growing team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Heritage Lead, you will be responsible for the scoping and oversight of heritage surveys, contributing towards heritage management and approval strategies relating to key growth projects. The Heritage Specialist will also be responsible for the coordination of Traditional Owner consultation and the maintaining strong relationships with a number of internal and external stakeholders to the business.

**Your new role**
- Liaise with the Heritage Lead and other Advisors regarding the development of heritage survey scopes
- Assist in the development, implementation and management of Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management Plans
- Provide technical input into the development of project schedules
- Conduct all activities in accordance with current heritage legislation - Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2021 and Aboriginal Heritage Act WA 1972
- Conduct and support research activities into potential heritage issues or incidents
- Conduct compliance procedures in accordance with the relevant acts

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Bachelor degree in Social Sciences
- Previous experience working in a Heritage role
- Solid understanding of the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2021 and Aboriginal Heritage Act WA 1972
- Experience engaging with traditional land owners
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders
