**About the role**
The manager oversees project tracking, monitors progress toward assessment targets, and fosters strong relationships with stakeholders to resolve complex issues. Additionally, they advise internal applicants on statutory planning, prepare high-quality briefs, manage external contractors, and continuously assess and improve the department’s planning processes.
The goal is to efficiently meet school building priorities while balancing legislative requirements and enhancing customer service in a dynamic educational environment.

**About you**

- Relevant experience in environmental assessment and planning legislation and processes.
- Inspiring leader who fosters collaboration and drives performance.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
**Essential requirements of the role**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Urban and Regional Planning, Environmental Management/Environmental Science, Engineering, and Project Management
- Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check).
- Demonstrated understading of and commitment to the value of public education.
