Eastern Creek, Australia TransGrid Full time

At Transgrid, we play a crucial role in delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable energy to millions of Australians. Operating over 13,000 km of high-voltage transmission lines and 128 substations across NSW and the ACT, we connect electricity generators to the distribution network - powering homes, businesses, and communities.

As the energy sector evolves, we’re growing our workforce to drive innovation and transformation.

**The Opportunity**

As a Field Coordinator at Transgrid, you’ll lead the safe and efficient delivery of work across high-voltage substation sites or transmission lines. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work alongside your team to solve complex technical challenges, mentor others, and make real-time decisions that directly impact the reliability of Australia’s energy network.

Supported by experienced planners and engineers, you’ll play a key role in responding to urgent outages, overseeing critical upgrades, and driving continuous improvement across our delivery programs. Your leadership will help shape team culture and strengthen the infrastructure powering our future.

If you're a technically skilled leader with a safety-first mindset and a passion for developing people, this could be your next big move.

**A Day in the Life as a Field Coordinator at Transgrid**
- Oversee daily field work programs including maintenance, upgrades, and emergency repairs across substations or transmission lines.
- Lead from the front: coach your team, resolve issues in real time, and uphold safety and quality standards.
- Serve as the main contact for field crews during critical tasks, ensuring clear communication and timely escalation.
- Coordinate personnel, equipment, and mobile plant, working with planners to optimise schedules and reduce downtime.
- Support emergency response efforts, including after-hours coordination for incidents affecting public safety or network reliability.

**About You**
- Electrical trade qualification in Distribution or Transmission, with extensive experience in the electrical industry, ideally focused on high-voltage systems.
- Proven leadership and decision-making skills in field environments.
- Strong safety mindset and working knowledge of high-voltage transmission systems.
- Comfortable using ERP tools, Excel, and Power BI for reporting and analysis.
- Clear communicator with a collaborative, hands-on approach.
