This is a role replacement in our **Water Management Team** where you will be responsible for the provision of reliable hydrological, meteorological, and environmental data monitoring systems for the purpose of collecting and presenting quality time series data to Entura’s clients, including Hydro Tasmania.
A broad range of data monitoring projects can be expected including dam surveillance, natural streams, water conveyance and delivery systems, groundwater, renewable energy projects, environmental management and electrical transmission and delivery. This role includes selecting fit-for-purpose equipment, system design, integration, commissioning and maintenance. The transmission, storage, and presentation of that data is also of prime importance.
**What will your week look like?**
If you like variety and being outside keep reading. Each week will be a bit different, so you will need to be a bit flexible, some weeks could include multiple days in the field carrying out site inspections and maintaining remote monitoring equipment. Other weeks could consist of analysing data collected from the field, assembling monitoring equipment for future installations or working with our team and clients to coordinate site activities.
You will get to travel the state, so you need a driver's licence (ideally a manual licence), work with multiple different technical teams and experts in the field, so you have amazing opportunities to learn from dedicated mentors. **What you’ll bring**:
We will teach you what you need to know but there are a few things that will set you apart:
- 2+ years' experience in remote field installation, troubleshooting, calibration and maintenance of data monitoring instrumentation and telemetry equipment.
- Undertaking (or completed) a recognised tertiary qualification in electrical, electronics, telecommunications, environmental or computer science.
- Australian drivers licence - preferably manual.
- Construction White Card.
- Confident ability to swim and willingness to undertake safety training for water rescues.

- Hydrographics, environmental or meteorological monitoring experience
- Experience in a consulting environment
- 4WD experience
- Boat operation
- Experience using hand tools or power tools
- Ability to work with a team that relies on each other in the field
- Diploma or certificate in civil or building
- Experience in minor civil works.
