We are currently seeking a suitably experienced Warehouse Manager to be responsible for all facets relating to the efficient and effective operation of the national warehouses.

Working for one of the most positive, driven, and innovative companies, you will manage the head office warehouse in Belmont, whilst overseeing and mobilising the recently purchased warehouse in Victoria.

With a fantastic industry reputation built over 45 years, this privately owned business is experiencing rapid growth and requires someone who has the experience to develop and implement strategies to accommodate further growth. This is a hands-on role where you will be given the opportunity to implement continuous improvement principles and be a key part of driving operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
- Review layout and establish new warehousing facilities
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling, safety and shipping legislation requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
- Running a lean dead-stock system
- Liaise and negotiate agreements with logistic suppliers and transport companies
- Plan work rosters, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
- Performing new team member inductions, training, and motivation
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
- Operating forklifts, equipment and hands on involvement when required
- Management of assets and equipment for maintenance and servicing
- Work with sales, customer service, purchasing and management to achieve continuous improvement objectives

**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as a warehouse operations/ logistics manager
- Understanding of LEAN principles would be beneficial
- Qualifications in Warehousing and/or Operations will be desirable
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to research, develop and implement process and system improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of warehousing KPI’s
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Leadership skills and ability manage staff
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Flexible and positive attitude
- Excellent communication, presentation and customer service skills
- LF/LO and WA Drivers Licence
