Position Summary

The Steward assists the Chief Steward and Stewarding Supervisors on the daily operations of the department. The individual is responsible for maintaining an organized, clean and sanitized Food and Beverage back-of-house, Kitchens and Loading Dock.

Responsible for making sure all plates, glasses, bowls and silverware are perfectly cleaned between uses.
Assist supervisors and manager in maintaining inventory of operating equipment supplies and breakage records.
Ensure the kitchen and storage areas are kept clean at all times. This includes cleaning industrial kitchen appliances, such as stoves, grills, freezers and ovens etc.
To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all cleaning procedures, use of dishwashing machines and the type of chemicals to be used.
Maintains strong working relationships with other departments to ensure effective communications for operational issues, serves as a role model for inter-departmental collaboration and support

Experiences in similar role at luxury hotels/resorts
Good interpersonal skills, a team player and good at cultivating guest relations.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals and surfaces
Good spoken English
Valid working rights in Australia
