**The Role**
The APS6 W&D Team Leader position includes:
Ensuring effective Warehousing and Distribution (W&D) management and efficient delivery of service outcomes, consistent with contracted Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

Working collaboratively with stakeholders that represent the Commonwealth, Industry Partners (IP) and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to resolve logistics inventory management and transport matters.

Supervising and managing the compliance and assurance W&D outputs of: Inventory Management, Procurement, Disposals, Equipment Pools and Contract Compliance Assurance activities with the aim of supporting an Integrated Network that works to develop common plans for regional areas across Australia.

RAAF Base Amberley has an onsite gym, pool and canteen. There is also on-site parking which is a bonus RAAF Base Amberley is located approx. 8 km southwest of the town of Ipswich and 50 km southwest of Brisbane. It is a short drive to either the Cunningham or Warrego highways and there is secure on-site parking which is a bonus

We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to ensuring processes and procedures are followed by all stakeholders in pursuit of excellence in the management of the Warehouse and Distribution Functions that span three sites at Amberley, Meeandah and Wallangarra. You will have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider stakeholder group.
- Experience working in a similar role ensuring the alignment of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks in respect Warehouse and Distribution
- Experience in developing and promoting a culture of Safety, Health and Wellbeing across a diverse and complex organisation
- Demonstrated knowledge of interpreting legislation, regulations, codes of practice, principles and standards of compliance and risk management
- Good understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks and Defence’s mission and policy requirements
- Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication skills, especially a high level of attention to detail and being able to present at an executive level.
- Ability to liaise and build relationships across, and external to the organisation
- Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritise a changing workload and negotiate an outcome
- A passion for continuous improvement focusing on innovation and improving process and procedures that in-turn provide effective solutions.
