Operations Supervisor (AM) - Tomago

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor (AM) to join our Resources & Industrials division based out of our Tomago site in New South Wales. This role is part of a fast-paced & collaborative environment working towards solving operational & logistics challenges. This role will have 2 direct reports and will be managing the AM shift. This role is also required to operate two weekends per month with overtime payment.

As the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Allocate people and assets to deliver on operational targets and service standards to meet the contractual obligations.- Set operational targets on a daily to monthly basis, ensuring delivery of results through the right allocation of resources.- Identify, define and develop solutions to operational problems to address short term issues.- Build strong relationships with our customer/s to response to daily / weekly changes in operational requirements.- Provide strong leadership, creating a positive workplace culture through collaboration and influencing the mindset of our people to improve the overall capability of the region.- Drive safety initiatives, ensure adhere to statutory and regulatory frameworks, whilst promoting a workplace of Safety First.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and fatigue management as it pertains to the Transport industry, specifically dangerous goods.- Strong customer service orientation - excellent understanding and strong curiosity about our customers and what adds value to them- Sound knowledge of personnel and operational requirements, relating to training and compliance.- Sound incident management/investigation skills - ability to determine root cause and implement appropriate corrective actions
