**About the Role**
- The role will work as part of the Security Team to protect the SCG brand and the client experience by proactively working to ensure better security practice is applied across the digital development space.
- The Cyber Security Assurance Specialist (CSAS) will assist in implementing, managing, and monitoring security inputs and into the development framework to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability SCG’s information assets.
**About You**
**Required Skills**:
- Approximately 5 years’ experience in information
- Good communication skills, and the ability to understand and translate cyber security threats from a technical perspective to business understanding and execution; ability to communicate risks and propose counter measures to colleagues and management as may be required.
- Well-developed analytic and critical thinking skills, demonstrated creative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently on initiatives with little Motivated and willing to learn.
- Broad technical background related to security technologies, such as Server and workstation Operating Systems, Network Security, Vulnerability Scanning Engines, Vulnerability Management lifecycle, and Compliance Management solutions.
- Strong knowledge of relevant standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27002, OWASP, NIST
- Must have a strong understanding of Security by Design approaches as new technology is
- Have a deep understanding of risk-based security
**Desired Skills**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- CISSP, CISM or equivalent certification
- Strong analytic/problem solving/critical thinking skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with Technical and Non-Technical business owners
- Ability to understand and communicate to colleagues and leadership the risks associated with current state technology environments.
- Provide support to the other members of the information security
