A position is open for a medical receptionist to join our friendly and hardworking front desk team We are a busy 7 Doctor mixed-billing practice located in Albany Creek. The reception team is focused on providing exceptional care for our patients, and outstanding support for our doctors & clinical staff.

We are looking for a medical receptionist who is reliable, hard-working, and committed to growth. Our reception team is the heart of the clinic, so it is essential to possess a warm, friendly & professional manner at all times.

Previous experience in general practice is not essential, but highly advantageous. You will need to be a fast learner, computer-savvy, and have a genuine interest in healthcare/general practice. Full training & support by Practice Manager and Senior Receptionists will be provided.

**Job Requirements**:

- Previous experience of at least 12 months in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of Best Practice software highly advantageous
- High level of organisation and ability to multi-task
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Able to work harmoniously in a team environment
- Demonstrate initiative, time management and flexibility
- Professional appearance and mature mindset
- Flexibility in working hours**:Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday (morning) shifts plus additional holiday coverage if required**:

- **Start date: from 27 October 2025**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Scheduling appointments, both over the phone and in-person
- Billing & processing payments in accordance with practice procedures
- Sorting incoming correspondence and requests
- Liaising with patients, staff and doctors
- Maintaining patient privacy & confidentiality
- Opening and closing of the practice
- End of day banking & reconciliation
- All other administrative duties as required

**Remuneration**:

- Award: Health Professional and Support Services (MA000027)
- Hourly rate of pay will be commensurate with experience
- Casual: approx. 25-30 hours per week (rotational Saturdays) - option for PPT conversion after successful probation period
- Superannuation: In accordance with the relevant legislation

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Albany Creek, QLD 4035: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Medical administration: 1 year (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
