Peninsula Family Medical Practice(Ocean Grove) and Warralily Family Medical Practice (Armstrong Creek) are currently seeking EXPERIENCED casual medical receptionists to join our practices for an immediate start.

We are a practice dedicated to providing quality, comprehensive and efficient medical services in a caring environment to meet the needs of our community. We provide our patients with resources and education in order to make informed decisions for their health and lifestyle.

This position will involve 3-4morning or afternoon shifts (including weekend). You must be flexible to cover annual leave and sick leave.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Welcoming patients and visitors, answering the telephone and answering any inquiries.

Scheduling appointments

Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.

Keeping a clean reception area

Processing billing and payments, using BP Premier software (including processing payments using EFTPOS and banking)

Liaising with Medicare and private health funds

Faxing, scanning, filing, and mailing documentation

Always maintaining information confidentiality

Liaising with other medical departments such as radiologists, medical specialists or psychologists with professionalism and discretion

Requirements:

Experience working in a GP practice is an added advantage

Experience using the Best Practice Premier software is an added advantage

Working knowledge of Windows-based software systems (e.g. Word and Excel)

Hold a valid driving license and able to drive to Peninsula Family Medical Practice or Warralily Family Medical Practice when required.
