An exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead the City's innovative Youth Development Team.

In this leadership role you will be responsible for coordinating Youth Development for the City of Mandurah and for leading, developing and delivering organisational objectives. You will bring community or youth development industry experience and best practice in being the driver delivering the City’s innovative Youth Strategy 2021-2026 within its 4 key pillars, _‘Local Spaces & Places, Learning & Working, Connection & Wellbeing, and Leading & Creating.’_

You will lead a team of 14 specialist Youth Development and Youth Program Officers (7.1FTE) and have day to day oversight of the Billy Dower Youth Centre, located in Dower Street Mandurah. You will also have oversight of the award-winning Mandurah Junior Council and Mandurah Youth Advisory Group and be outward focused in creating new connections and opportunities in community.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- A tertiary qualification in a community/youth development field, or relevant discipline
- Knowledge of trends, policies, planning and service delivery in contemporary youth development
- Leadership, staff supervision skills and ability to lead a team autonomously
- The ability to develop, implement and manage business plans and budgets
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide cross section of people and organisations
- Experience in maximising opportunities and supporting agencies in a co-located facility
- A current National Police Clearance and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- You will also be available for some occasional weekend and evening work.
- As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test.

**The finer details**

This permanent full-time Level 9 position attracts a salary range of $125,891 to $134,254 gross per annum depending on qualifications and experience, plus an additional $14,000 gross per annum car allowance **_(total remuneration package $139,891 to $148,254 gross per annum exclusive of superannuation)._**
