Government Agency looking for a Contracts Specialist for a 12 month assignment (Western Suburbs)
**Your new company**
This well-known Government Agency requires a Major Projects Pre-Contracts Specialist to join their team at a great rate of pay. This governmental institution has the mission of developing communities while preserving the environment, supporting industries and contributing to a strong economy. This job is located in Sydney’s Western Suburbs.
**Your new role**
In your new position, you will manage procurement and transaction activities that ensure value for money and high levels of service and compliance. You will liaise with key stakeholders and negotiate contracts. You will identify opportunities for improvement and monitor supplier performance.
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to be considered for this role you will be able to lead sourcing activities and have excellent communication skills, liaising with cross-functional teams. You will have strong complex problem solving skills and knowledge of Procurement and Procurement systems (preferably SAP Ariba). You will have experience in construction and infrastructure projects in a large complex organisation or in a similar organisation or industry.
**What you'll get in return**
In return you will get an immediately available 12 month temporary role. You will be working 38 hours a week and based in the Western Suburbs. Hybrid working is also available for this position.
