**Job Purpose**
- The primary purpose of this position is to research, analyze, interpret, transform and present reference data for fixed income and equities securities as well as reference data pertaining to those issuers themselves that bring fixed income debt to market. _**_The focus of this position is to perform this work with documents in business level in Japanese._**
- The fixed income and equities market consists of over two million active securities and the reference data provided by Fixed Income & Data Services for said securities is used by their clients to make trading decisions, settle trades, make investment decisions, manage portfolios, analyze risk, create security master files, create client statements and conduct other back-office functions. _
- The reference data is also used by internal stakeholders such as the Evaluated Pricing, Index and Analytics groups said reference data plays an integral role in determining evaluated prices, determining whether or not a security should be added to or deleted from an index or indices, the weighted average of a security within an index and, performing a series of analytical calculations that are used both internally within the company and externally by these stakeholder’s clientele._

What does your next role look like?
- _Analyse, interpret, collate and transform reference data for simple structures/events in either the primary market or the secondary market (but not both) provided in a variety legal and financial documents, third party reports and vendor information while ensuring that the reference data provided in company’s products and services accurate, comprehensive and in a timely manner, namely best in class with oversight from senior members of the team._
- _Procure required documents and/or trusted content utilizing creative internet searches and by conducting direct outreach to issuers, underwriters, fiduciary agents and bond counsel._
- _Provide customer support in conjunction with the Data Support Group team for users of company’s products by resolving inquiries in a timely manner and conducting additional analysis._
- _Help identify trends and causation of inaccurate and/or incomplete data including but not limited to staying current with new financing techniques used by the marketplace and organizations that impact coverage and completeness._
- _Participate in ad hoc projects to optimize processes and/or improve the quality of the data set._
- _Use pre-defined excel and macro functions to organize, analyze, convert and create reference data._
- _Business level Japanese specifically the financial industry._

- _Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent practical experience_
- _Relevant work experience working in reference data operations or customer service._
- _Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressured, fluid environment_

- _Excellent attention to detail and high degree of demonstrated decision-making and problem solving skills_
