**Position Purpose**:
The Family Accommodation Service (FAS) provides an accommodation service of 13 rooms/ studio’s for patients, carers and families who are attending the Women’s for treatment and care and their residence is greater than 100km from the Women’s. This position will oversee the day to day operation of the service and work closely with the Social Work teams who refer eligible patients. The role of the Coordinator is to primarily ensure the provision of accommodation for patients and their families, requiring short term lodging. This includes liaison with all departments of the hospital, providing patients with information, arranging bookings, administering billing and reimbursement systems, and consulting with other departments to arrange cleaning and maintenance.

**Your contribution**:
Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Responsibility for the day to day operational running of the FAS
- Responsibility for the development and implementation of administrative programs, policies and procedures to ensure effective functioning of the FAS
- Management of the FAS booking system and wait list
- Processing Risk Assessments/New Referrals including COVID vaccination process
- Liaising with contractors and suppliers
- When required, supervising any maintenance work and renovations
- Safeguarding security and compliance including conducting inspections where necessary
- Implementation of policies and procedures to ensure all residents receive a high level of care and support
- Trouble-shooting any issues arising in FAS operations
- Maintaining statistical and financial records including following up with debts
- In consultation with your supervisor, manage budgets and controlling expenditure
- Maintenance of a safe and secure environment and conducting flat inspections where necessary
- Monitor processes to ensure high level of service delivery to patients and/or their families requiring FAS.

**COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement**

**Influenza Vaccination Requirement**

In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care. Evidence of vaccination is required. As this role fits into category A or B of the departments risk ratings, applicants will be required to have been vaccinated against influenza. Evidence of vaccination is required.
