**The Opportunity**

As part of the Category Team, this role forms an integral part of curating a compelling customer offering. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the Hydraulic components and Industrial Hosing categories while supporting the overall category strategy. You will have oversight across your portfolio, partnering with external and internal stakeholder groups to promote the category plan and ensure a value-add approach in connecting customers to Blackwoods.

This is a **permanent, full-time opportunity **and will be based onsite at **Blackwoods National Head Office in** **Macquarie Park, NSW.**

**Some of the skills required**:

- Previous experience in Mechanical Engineering in the Australian market
- High level commercial acumen
- Exposure to Buying and Category Management or sales
- Ability to build rapport and connect across diverse stakeholder groups
- A proactive mindset to continuously understand domestic market trends
- Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail

**Some of the tasks**:

- Review range and data to uplift category competitive advantage
- Act as the SME for the category, providing technical expertise when required
- Develop opportunities to grow market share with sales team
- Foster relationships with Australian suppliers to manage expectations
- Lead tenders for products under management
- Conduct pricing negotiations on existing and new product to support the category strategy
- Connect with customers to provide solutions and identify avenues for further value add initiatives
