**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Venue and Sales Coordinator will identify areas of opportunity, develop and foster business relationships, tele-market, direct mail, appointments and tours of the venues to drive and achieve budgeted sales figures. The Venue Sales Co-Ordinator is responsible for the overall supervision and daily running of The Granville Centre. This position will be responsible to liaise with suppliers, contractors and clients.
Reporting to Manager Holroyd Centre, this position will have a clear understanding of the enterprise business strategies, to be able to set goals, action plans and determine business strategies. Additionally, develop and establish working relationships with key stakeholders, including Council staff, government departments, corporate clients and other private clients.
The successful applicant will require:
- Certificate IV in Hospitality (Catering Operations or Food and Beverage) or equivalent experience
- Diploma in Sales and Marketing or equivalent experience in sales preferably in Hospitality
- Extensive experience in at least one functional area of the hospitality industry
- Previous experience in the supervision or management of staff
- In depth knowledge of social media marketing trends together with the ability to design and create multi-media advertising options.
- Class C Driver’s Licence

**Position information**: This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Rostered Day Off (RDO) arrangement.
This role is predominantly located at Council's Granville Centre, with frequent travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations.
**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 10 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $76,148.80 to $87,571.12 per annum, plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
