**About the Role**

As a Disability Support Worker at Avas Support, you will play a vital role in empowering people with disabilities to live rich, self-directed lives. You will provide personalised support that fosters confidence, independence, and community connection, aligned with our people-first philosophy.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants in line with their individual plans and goals.
- Support participants with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, and household duties.
- Facilitate community access and social participation — shopping, attending appointments, outings, and group activities.
- Provide support with Supported Independent Living (SIL), short-term accommodation, and complex behaviour support when required.
- Foster positive relationships built on trust, respect, and empowerment.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and incident reports in line with Avas Support policies and NDIS requirements.
- Promote participant choice, dignity, and independence in all aspects of support.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families and allied health.

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable transport.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $36.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
