Our client is a federal government agency. Due to growth, they are seeking a Release Manager to join their team in Midland. These will be 12-month contracts with extension, and you will have a hybrid working arrangements in line with current client policy (minimum of 3 days each week in the office, with flexible arrangements in place for the remaining 2 days).

**Duties**:

- Work with the Assistant Director Service Transition as required.
- Coordinate and communicate impacts of all releases to stakeholders.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and provide reporting on all planned and unplanned release activities.
- Liaising with Change Management to ensure the timely delivery of releases.
- Producing Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans.
- Educate and advocate the release process and procedure across the Agency.
- Effective management of release management across a multi-vendor environment.
- Establish, develop and implement release management governance and process.
- Identify & implement continual service improvements across release management.
- Foster a positive culture within the ICT Service Engagement team aligned with Agency values.
- Availability to work outside of normal business hours to manage change and release activities.

**Selection Criteria**:
- Demonstrated minimum 5 years' experience providing ICT Release Management in an ITIL operational or engineering environment.
- Experience in Release Management within a Continuous Delivery or DevOps environment.
- Proven ability to work through, and progress, work issues with limited direction.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to meeting agreed work targets and standards.
- Experience working in Government or providing services to a government agency.
- Be an Australian Citizen is essential
