Your role at St John of God Ballarat Hospital
- To provide leadership and direction for the overall coordination and management of the CSSD Department, with the objective of achieving best practice outcomes from both a customer and business perspective whilst supporting and promoting the Mission and Values of SJGHC. This will be achieved through visible, effective leadership of the service, the formation and development of caregivers, the prudent use of resources and the building of effective relationships particularly with key stakeholders.
- The Position- Maintains responsibility for the standards and quality of practice within the Department.-
- Ensures all activities of the department comply with relevant Australian Standards and recommendations of professional bodies as appropriate.-
- Identifies strategies to improve efficiency and the quality of service.-
- Develops and maintains excellent standards of care including ongoing evaluation and promotion of quality improvement initiatives.-
- Fosters a clinical team culture of interdisciplinary collaboration leading to improved service deliveries.-
- Manages departmental budget within established parameters and provides reports as required on budget results and variances, and makes recommendations for corrective action.-
- Provide leadership, through effective personal, professional communication, and interpersonal capabilities and-
- Change management as well as team and strategic capabilities - as outlined in the SJGHC Leadership Profile.-
- Establish and build mutually beneficial relationships to enhance patient care and business outcomes-
- Recommends and implements new initiatives that will support business development hospital wide.-
- In consultation with the Manager of Perioperative Services develops and implements a recruitment, retention and succession plan to achieve skill mix profile and budgeted FTE.- You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or have an approved certificate in Sterilisation Technology, with recent relevant leadership/management experience in a CSSD.
