**About the Role**

As a **Material Sterile Consumables **Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the theatre Scrub Scouts team, which will include cleaning, assembling, inspecting, wrapping and sterilising surgical instruments and medical equipment for Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital's clinical departments. Your role will also involve, but is not limited to;
- Working in conjunction with Operating Theatre staff to provide timely sterile products, trays and equipment where applicable;
- Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures, and risk management strategies are met at all times; and
- Handle sterilised items in a manner that protects the integrity and function of the product.

To succeed in this role you be a positive individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude. Your exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment is essential for this position.

You will also bring;
- A high attention to detail and accuracy;

- Valid open drivers licence
- Ability to lift, load and transport case carts to and from the vehicle
