**About the role**

Join our dynamic team at Babcock and contribute to one of our vital Defence programs We are currently seeking a skilled Technical Support Officer to play a crucial role in our Counter-Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (C-CBRNE) contract. As part of our esteemed Technical Services team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact.

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the continued operation and maintenance of the C-CBRNE fleet. Through the provision of support to the Technical Services team, you will provide support across a broad range of technical services which includes updating maintenance schedules, reviewing technical documentation, providing sustainment advice, and supporting the Technical Officers in the delivery of services. Additionally, you will play an essential role in the C-CBRNE Service Desk function, promptly and effectively addressing customer, external maintenance providers, and supplier enquiries.

Building strong relationships will be a key aspect of your role. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders including contracted maintenance and service providers, operating units, Joint Logistics Command (JLC), and other Commonwealth Contractors. Furthermore, your meticulous approach will be crucial in maintaining accurate C-CBRNE fleet maintenance planning data, which will be integrated into both Babcock and Australian Defence Force (ADF) systems.

**Ideally you will have**
- Australian Citizen with an NV1 security clearance (or the ability to obtain).
- Studies towards or completion of Certificate III (or above) in a relevant discipline (electronics, electrical, mechanical engineering, etc.) from a recognised institution and/or equivalent relevant experience.
- Understanding of Maintenance Requirements and Logistics Support.
- Understanding of technical regulations.
- Previous experience using MILIS / SAP Programs
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to consistently deliver a high level of customer service.
- Understanding of Document Creation and amendment workflow procedures.
